A key feature of the AegisOne™ System is its wireless sensors Nodes — autonomous data collection beacons that attach to the outside of existing machinery and wirelessly transmit collected data to AegisOne™ Cloud for analysis. Representative characteristics of the Nodes are presented below:
Incorporates three on-board sensors: acoustic, vibration and temperature. The acoustic sensor uses a digital MEMS detector that captures readings in the ultrasonic acoustic spectrum, ranging from 0kHz up to 40kHz. The vibration sensor consists of two detectors, an analog tri-axial MEMS accelerometer with a range of +/- 40g and frequency range of 0-10kHz; and a digital tri-axial MEMS accelerometer with a range of +/- 8g and frequency range of 0-1.8kHz. The temperature sensor is a NTC thermistor with a range of -40 to 85oC and accuracy +/- 1oC (0 to 70oC).
Fully wireless, with no cables nor external antenna — communication is established via 2.4GHz / Wirepas Mesh Networking — sends acoustic, vibration and temperature data to corresponding gateway. Powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries operating with 1.5 – 1.8V (4 – 4.6Ah), which last up to 4-6 years based on standard usage.
Uses a TLS 1.2 over TCP connection with corresponding gateway, supported by AES-256, TKIP, CKIP, WPA, WPA2 encryption.
At just 3.5 inches in height and 1.5 inches in diameter, with a weight of 150g (5.3 Oz.), each Node has an unobtrusive dimensional profile. Its enclosure consists of a polycarbonate cover and a corrosion-resistant, stainless steel base, making it suitable for any industrial environment.
Suitable for indoor or outdoor use (IP67) and is certified for use in Class 1 Div 2 environments. The device is certified for FCC, CE, UL746C, RoHs and NEMA 250. The cover is F1-rated material for UV resistance.
Installs in minutes without any specialized training. Dual-rail magnet on its base easily mounts on the equipment to be monitored. Once activated, it takes a minute to detect the corresponding gateway and secure a connection.
